Owner + Creative Director

SYDNEY JANEY, the Creative Director + Principal Designer, started the SYDNEY JANEY DESIGN studio in the Spring of 2007. After she’d been working in Publishing and while still attending graduate school at the Massachusetts College of Art + Design. Setting the studio apart from the start, with a unique background in fine art: printmaking, photography and art history. In addition to her studies in graphic design, Sydney uses her skills of critical analysis and the collaboration with other talents, to bring together a fresh, creative and practical approach to all projects. This has been the winning client formula from the start!
In her personal life Sydney volunteers with many non-profits and is involved with many civic organizations. She is also an adjunct professor at Emerson College in the Writing, Literature & Publishing department where she teaches Applications for Print Publishing. Basically all things Adobe. While she taught crafts for four years while attending undergraduate school at Univ. of MA Amherst — Sydney strives to be a Passionate Maker —  of all things related to paper — and a Boston Shaker.
